Director Skye makes a variety of films ranging from bizarro (her Bizarre label fetish offerings in which she used to act as well) to friendly romances for the Wicked Passions label and previously for both Penthouse and Playgirl. The resulting romantic clinches (acted out in full XXX glory) and lover's spats are old hat, but satisfyingly old-fashioned for today's audience. In this case, a misplaced love letter is the plot catalyst, as baker Julia Ann's sister played by Charlotte Stokely has filed it away in her books stored with sis, and when other protagonists find the note it causes all sorts of confusion, each one thinking a paramour penned it.
But it's a well-acted couples film in the time-honored vein of so many soapers like 'The Notebook'. With eventual pay-cable showing in mind, Skye Blue's romantic porn feature 'Love, Anonymous' errs on the side of sentimentality.
